5 out of 5
Picked up a set of the Indy pivot cups to give them a shot on my cruiser setup. I've been trying to get the ride as smooth as possible. Currently running 78a OJ hot juice mini (55mm) wheels, bones hardcore bushings (hard boardside, medium roadside) and a pair of 1/8" Indy shock pads. Figured I'd give the Riptide pivot cups a shot to see how they changed the feel of the setup.
The stock Indy bushings are a hard plasticy material and are pretty low quality. These Riptide cups blow the stock ones out of the water in terms of quality and performance. The tolerances are insanely good and they are super easy to install.
The Riptides definitely make the hanger return to center faster with a smoother feel and response. I'd be interested in trying a softer pivot cup like 90a to see how that performs.
I would definitely be able to tell the difference between the two in a blind test. Highly recommend giving them a shot. Well worth the 15 bucks.
Also ordered a set of KranK bushings to try out in place of the bones. Will report back once I get them.
